Originally built in 1946, the Golden Nugget Casino is one of the oldest casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, over the past four decades, the company has built several properties in other parts of the United States.

Based on a study of a large amount of Golden Nugget Playing Cards, we can categorize these vintage casino decks into 10 different types, with 13 different back colors. Use the information below to identify your GNuggs.
Type 1
Gambling Hall - Downtown, LV
The first version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards. We believe they were manufactured sometime between 1961 - 1965 and can usually be found with a United States IRS 1-pack tax stamp cancelled by Consolidated Dougherty.Type 2
Gambling Hall - Downtown, LV
The second version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards. We believe they were manufactured sometime between 1967 - 1972 and can usually be found with a perforated U.S Playing Card Stamp.Type 3
Gambling Hall - 2nd and Fremont
The third version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards. We believe they were manufactured sometime between 1972 - 1974 and can usually be found with a perforated U.S Playing Card Stamp.Type 4
Gambling Hall & Rooming House
The fourth version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards. We believe they were manufactured sometime between 1980 - 1983 and can usually be found with a U.S. Playing Card Co. Sticker.Type 5
Hotel & Casino
The fifth version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards. We believe they were manufactured in 1987 and can usually be found with a U.S. Playing Card Co. Sticker.Type 6
Atlantic City & Las Vegas
The sixth version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards. Originally sold in metallic tins, as well as a leather cases. These decks were manufactured possibly in the 1980s.Type 7
Atlantic City
The seventh version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards were made strictly for the Atlantic City Golden Nugget. We believe they were manufactured in the 1980s.Type 8
Whitman Crusader
The eighth version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards was printed by Whitman in Racine, Wisconsin. We believe they were manufactured in 1977.Type 9
Gemaco
The ninth version of the white-bordered Golden Nugget Playing Cards was printed by Gemaco Playing Card in Blue Springs, Missouri. We believe they were manufactured in the 1980s.Type 10
Gemaco
